Degassing & control of residual fumigants
Degassing is an obligatory procedure after fumigation and disinsection of various objects. Measuring of residual fumigants and assessment of degassing results are essential for safety of products for humans and animals, for which these products are designated.
Substances, used for fumigation of quarantined products, are usually classified as the 1 Class of Danger and may cause a serious harm to human health.
Degassing is performed by aeration or, when shorter terms of degassing are necessary, by means of installation of additional forced ventilation equipment.
Upon completion of degassing it is necessary to measure and analyze gas-and-air samples, taken from the products volume. If a fumigant concentration level falls till maximally allowed concentration of the gas, it is possible to handle and load the products, etc.
