Fumigation of stored products in warehouses
Filled production warehouses must be treated regularly, especially in summer period, in order to prevent damage, caused to the products by harmful microorganisms, rodents and insects.
Fumigant is chosen before fumigation, based on the product type. The next stage is preparatory measures, identification of parameters of a room, sealing level, clearing of unnecessary objects and trash. Next, depending on the state of fumigant (solid, liquid, gas), it is spread, sprayed or diffused evenly across all surface. Exposition (i.e. exposure to fumigant) takes from 20 to 72 hours depending on the type of fumigant and conditions of the room. Aeration or chemical degassing is done upon completion of the exposition.
