Report of the United Nations Secretariat on Quarantine and Pre-Shipment

The Eighteenth Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, in paragraph 5 of its decision XVIII/14, requested the Secretariat to provide factual information on quarantine and pre-shipment definitions under the Protocol and the International Plant Protection Convention.

In paragraph 4 of the same decision, the Parties requested the Secretariat, in accordance with decision XVII/15 and where appropriate, to continue to liais with the secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention with a view to building on the interaction already established and to report fully to the Parties on cooperation and joint activities at the secretariat level.
